The British International Motor Show (that’s the London motor show to you and me) is shaping up to be the best yet. Show organisers claim they are hosting more than 20 global debuts – up from 13 two years ago – and we’ve compiled a list of the cars you simply cannot afford to miss. THE SURGE in new car sales has continued into the new year. There were 154,562 new vehicles registered last month, a 7.6% rise on January last year, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said. The society said sales of alternatively fuelled vehicle increased by 25%.
Lotus has certainly had its ups & downs over the years. Started and run by the legendary Colin Chapman, Lotus has always done its own thing – not always successfully, it has to be said. But the last few years has been something of a renaissance for Lotus, with the extremely able and agile Elise and its siblings selling well.
